The ChowGreen(tm) award is a new way that Chow Geeks recognizes
restaurants that have sustainable business practices. Restaruants that
meet the requirements will have it noted in their reviews, and will also
receive a window sticker and certificate suitable for framing.
The four requirements are:
- Participate in at least one recognized renewable/sustainable energy
program
(Example: Blue Sky, RECs, NW Nat. Smart Energy, Solar on-site, etc)
- Compost or recycle appropriate (and legal) kitchen waste
- Use at least some locally produced/grown organic ingredients
Customers and restuarants themselves may request nominations. Please send

reserves the right to request verification prior to presentation of award.
